This ElCamino runs quiet and sounds good ( I installed a new Thrush exhaust but added a resonator to keep it sounding stock. ![]() I installed a Iroc Camaro tuned port injection and installed new valve seals in 2013, The car does not leak oil the engine is rock solid burns no oil or no smoke from the tailpipe Note, it is not a hopped up motor head project but more of a gentleman's car. There are no leaks and the car has been garage kept. The windows were professionally tinted, since I lived in Florida (legal tint) The carpets are very good no wear at gas pedal or brake foot rest. There is slight wear on the drivers backrest but the fabric is sound. I purchased it in 2011 and it had 42000 miles on the odometer The interior was extremely clean non smoking car and the original seat upholstery and trim piping is not showing signs of wear. This ElCamino is previously owned by 3 people in the same family. Phone is 6, Serious collector inquiries only. Bed of car is perfect all original, always protected, never a ding in it or on tailgate. Drum brakes, GM factory air shocks as was original. It has the rare tachometer that has the left blinker indicator light in the tach face. Since completion, car has not been wet with hose or rain, hand cleaned and polished and kept under cover in controlled atmosphere garage. Car has been driven only 900 miles since completion within 20 mile radius on sunny days. Original chrome trim in storage in great condition, original bumpers on car. Original GM Delco Battery (yellow caps) never has had acid installed. I have original hubcaps still in GM boxes, Original wheels are in Cragar boxes. Starting the refurb in 1976, all parts were easy to buy new from GM, including chrome, wiring harnesses, interior, etc, got a little carried away with things. Stripped body to bare metal and refinished with many coats of GM Tuxedo Black Lacquer. Replaced with GM factory purchased 327 - 325 HP Special Hi-Performance engine package that was offered in 67. Removed and still have the original matching numbers 283 engine unrestored. Garage kept and driven as passenger car until 76 when I decided to "do a little clean-up on the motor." Twenty years later, project finished in 96. Purchased new in 67 by close friend and I acquired/begged for it in 69. This pristine 67 Chevelle El Camino has been in my ownership since 1969. No frame rot, bed is solid, as are the floors, body is very straight! I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. I have most of the receipts but there's at least 10k into it. All extra parts where in at one point and the Camino ran 13.2 in the 1/4 mile, but was removed to be more street friendly. ![]() I have a folder of receipts, books, catalogs, and all booklets for everything! I Also have extra go fast stuff that can go with it if the price is right : 4.11 Richmond gears, bigger 24lb injectors, corvette trans servo. Block has fresh rebuild, heads have work done, custom stepper cam, 58mm throttle body, side pipes, 10 bolt rear, 700r4 trans with 4th gear lock out, cobalt gauges, ladder bar suspension, coil overs, rear disc brakes, 3:73 gears, professional harness that was done right.
